Virgil might also be apart of some of your homes as he had a collaboration with Ikea which is a Swedish furniture store, that’s in the UK and the US. Needless to say his creativity had no bounds and influence runs through so much in the creative world.
Third year Journalism and Fashion student Sennen Pricket says ‘The artistic director brought a new life to menswear, with his designs highlighting the importance of youth culture, immigration and cultural integration.’
Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2022 Virgil’s last show happened this past Thursday which was Louis Vuitton’s fall/winter menswear collection. Virgil was also known well for including upcoming artists and talented young people in the scene that they are aspiring to be in. He supported an upcoming British clothing line called Corteiz. Virgil was a man of action and goes a step further to starting a campaign named ‘I support Black women’ where he collaborated with Black feminist activists. This is especially important because black feminists are have pre-historically been sidelined in the feminism movement .
Virgil has certainly left a mark and impact on the fashion industry and to many young aspiring talents in the creative world and his work will continue to influence the upcoming.
